Hospitality Controller Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a controller or similar role
  • Large hospitality operational experience
  • CPA Preferred

Hospitality Controller Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to executives, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and enforce internal financial controls to protect company assets.
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger and financial records.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to align with business goals.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Tax Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  • Oversee tax filings, audits, and external reporting.
  • Work with auditors to maintain financial transparency and compliance.

Process Improvement & Cost Management

  • Develop and improve financial processes, policies, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow management and cost control.
  • Implement financial technology and automation solutions for efficiency.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial strategy.
  • Work closely with department heads to align financial goals with operational needs.
