We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive account growth and expand our client base. This role is responsible for both account development and management, with a strong emphasis on maximizing revenue from existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a balanced approach to sales, excelling in both hunting and farming strategies in oil and gas and maritime industries.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

As a key member of the sales and marketing division, the Business Development Manager will:

  • Manage and strengthen commercial relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Proactively engage with clients to maintain a high level of service delivery while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, conducting regular client meetings and following up on leads.
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry trends and how our training and HR solutions fit into the market landscape.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Achievement of revenue and sales targets.
  • High level of client engagement and activity in Maritime and Oil and Gas.
  • Strong sales pipeline management.

Business Development Manager Requirments

  • Proven track record in a sales or business development role with demonstrable success.
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably within relevant industries.
  • Background in solution selling or experience in training, competence, and HR solutions is a plus.
  • Strong ability to plan, conduct, and lead client meetings with effective closing techniques.
  • Ability to identify client challenges and offer tailored solutions.
  • Communication: Strong ability to engage with clients across multiple industries and seniority levels, including a professional presence on business social media.
  • Sales Acumen: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to recognize and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong planning, preparation, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly driven, goal-oriented, and proactive in achieving business objectives.
