Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing Power and Controls Design and Installation company with a diverse portfolio of customers. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled and passionate Power Electrical Engineer to join their team and contribute to high-impact projects.
Power Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers from various disciplines to gather critical data for electrical designs and communicate technical specifications to designers for efficient project execution
- Conduct load calculations in compliance with NEC standards using Excel, SKM/PTW, and other tools.
- Model electrical systems using ETAP and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with customers through site visits to assess their power and control design needs
Power Electrical Engineer Qualifications
- 10yrs as an Electrical Engineer working with Commercial and Industrial power systems
- Strong understanding of NFPA 70, Wisconsin SPS 316, and Michigan Part 8
- Proficiency in cable sizing and breaker selection
- Ability to perform arc flash hazard assessments
- Short circuit analysis
