A great hospitality company seeking a senior level position responsible for developing and executing a company's overall human resource strategy, overseeing all aspects of employee management including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and leading the HR team to achieve organizational goals. Key responsibilities of an HR Director:

  • Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning. 
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, oversee the hiring process, and identify top talent for critical roles. 
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee concerns, address grievances, mediate disputes, and maintain positive employee relations. 
  • Compensation and Benefits: Design and administer competitive compensation packages, including salary structure, bonus plans, and employee benefits. 
  • Performance Management: Establish performance evaluation systems, provide feedback to employees, and identify areas for development. 
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, including leadership development initiatives. 
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws, including anti-discrimination, safety, and labor regulations. 
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key HR metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the HR team, providing direction, coaching, and performance evaluations. 
  • Budget Management: Oversee the HR department budget and allocate resources effectively. 

Director of Human Resources Qualifications:

  • Experienced HR Leader: 8+ years of progressive HR experience within a luxury hotel environment
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
  • Certified Professional: SPHR, SHRM-SCP preferred; background in hospitality or retail is a plus.
  • Strong Communicator & Innovator: A strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
