We are seeking a Motion Control Engineer to join a 50+-year-old machining manufacturer located in Indianapolis. If you are looking to join an organization that provides work/life balance, a mixture of computer and lab work, and growth opportunities, please apply!

MOTION CONTROL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research on CNC machine tool motion systems including system kinematics and dynamics, advanced motion control algorithms, geometry and volumetric compensation algorithm
  • Research, identify, and formulate solutions to CNC software problems
  • Develop and execute testing and verification for CNC motion system
  • Maintain current, accurate and detailed documentation of all development and activities in CNC motion system

MOTION CONTROL ENGINEER JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
  • Deep understanding of control theories and design methodologies
  • Proficient in C/C++ software development
