Head Baker/Pastry Chef Requirements
- Pastry Experience – 3 to 5 years in pastry, including 2+ years in a leadership role in a high-volume or wholesale bakery.
- Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of traditional pastry techniques, especially viennoiserie
- Leadership & Teamwork – Proven ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team to success.
- Quality & Efficiency – Commitment to high production standards, excellent organization, and time management in a fast-paced setting.
- Adaptability & Communication – Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across departments, and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
Head Baker/Pastry Chef Responsibilities
- Lead Production – Oversee pastry kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality viennoiserie and baked goods meet daily production goals.
- Innovation & Development – Create and refine seasonal and signature pastries to keep offerings fresh.
- Team Management – Train, schedule, and evaluate pastry staff while fostering a positive work environment.
- Quality & Compliance – Maintain strict quality control, recipe adherence, and food safety standards.
- Inventory & Collaboration – Manage ingredients, supplier relations, and align production with business needs.
