We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist / AI Specialist to lead the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions for our medical device applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine learning, deep learning, and data analytics within the healthcare or medical technology space. You will work closely with engineers, clinicians, and regulatory teams to create AI models that power our medical devices, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations.

Data Scientist / AI Specialist Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for medical data analysis, diagnostics, and predictive healthcare applications.
- Process and analyze complex structured and unstructured medical data, including imaging, time-series, and patient records.
- Work with neural networks, computer vision, NLP, and signal processing techniques for medical applications.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI algorithms into medical devices.
- Ensure AI solutions comply with FDA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements for medical technology.
- Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, accuracy, and real-time decision-making.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, feature engineering, and model evaluation frameworks.
- Work on explainability and interpretability of AI models to enhance trust and transparency.
Data Scientist / AI Specialist Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and other AI frameworks.
- Experience with medical imaging (DICOM, MRI, X-rays, CT scans), EHR data, or biosignal processing is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud-based AI deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for AI in healthcare (FDA, CE, HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, feature engineering, and AI validation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
