The Senior Business Analyst role is part of the Commercial Finance team and involves working closely with Business Development. In this position, the Senior Business Analyst will gather and analyze relevant business data, create financial models, and help measure revenue, expenses, and return on investment for new and renewed contracts. This role requires a dedicated professional who focuses on making data-driven decisions. The Senior Business Analyst will work directly with the Vice President of Strategic Planning and/or the Director of Business Development to develop projects from start to finish.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with various teams (like Operations, Finance, Technology, Culinary, and Sales) to review and evaluate new business opportunities and renew existing contracts.
- Develop financial pro forma models and commercial terms, which include the following steps:
- Reviewing Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Analyzing historical data, financial performance, benchmarks, and trends
- Staying updated on industry knowledge and the competitive landscape
- Creating models that project revenue, expenses, and return on investment under different scenarios
Qualifications:
- Passionate individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, make independent decisions, and manage multiple projects at once
- MBA degree or currently pursuing an MBA
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, including reporting and project management (experience in hospitality, retail, or the restaurant industry is a plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional organizational abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
