Business Valuation Professional Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in private business valuation at a CPA firm
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Interest in pursuing professional designations such as CFA, ASA, or CPA (preferred)
  • Support the preparation of valuation reports for purposes including estate planning, divorce proceedings, and shareholder disputes
  • Conduct research on industry trends, economic conditions, and market data to support valuation analyses
  • Assist in estimating lost profits and other economic damages for litigation support
  • Collaborate with senior team members on client engagements and project management
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of data inputs and analysis
