Senior Accountant – Strategic Legal Accounting **Hybrid**
Are you ready to take the lead in a senior accounting role where your ideas and expertise truly matter? Join our law firm as a Senior Accountant and work directly with senior leadership to shape financial operations, manage a skilled team, and drive results.

- High-Visibility Leadership: Partner with the Accounting Manager to oversee operations and mentor a team of five.
- Dynamic Responsibilities: Take ownership of trust accounting, financial reporting, month- and year-end closings, and process improvements.
- Strategic Contribution: Support the firm’s success by analyzing data, streamlining workflows, and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant
- Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, journal entries, invoicing, billing, and month- and year-end closings.
- Ensure compliance with trust accounting requirements and other legal industry-specific accounting practices.
- Provide oversight for corporate credit card accounts, expense management, and court submission processes.
- Monitor and reconcile the general ledger, input journal entries, and prepare financial reports.
- Contribute to process improvements, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across the department.
What We Need in a Senior Accountant:
- Legal Expertise: Experience in law firm accounting, including trust accounts and billing.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in ProLaw, Elite, or similar legal software, with strong Excel skills.
- Experience: 8+ years of accounting experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role is a Plus
- Proactive Approach: A hands-on professional with a proven ability to manage people and processes.
