Financial Analyst – Strategic Initiatives **Hybrid**
We’re seeking a proactive, analytical, and strategic-minded Financial Analyst to join our growing Accounting & Finance team. This is not a traditional financial analyst role—this position requires someone who can go beyond crunching numbers. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, including the Director of Finance (DOF) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), on high-visibility projects like mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other external strategic initiatives. If you have a legal background, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for making an impact, we want to hear from you.
Key Traits We’re Looking For in a Financial Analyst:
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative, high-visibility role and wants to make a meaningful impact.
- Strong critical thinker with a knack for explaining the “why” behind their recommendations.
- A professional with ideas and initiative who’s eager to contribute to strategic growth.
- Experience in smaller or mid-sized companies preferred (we’re not looking for candidates from massive corporations where they were one of many analysts with data handed to them).
Why Join Us as a Financial Analyst?
This is a new position created due to growth, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of the company. You’ll have a direct line to senior leadership and the chance to work on impactful strategic initiatives, not just routine financial analysis. If you’re ready to bring your expertise, voice, and vision to the table, apply today!
Key Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst:
- Collaborate with the DOF and COO to evaluate new strategic initiatives, such as potential mergers, acquisitions, or major projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts to assess project viability and long-term impact.
- Analyze financial data and complex metrics to provide clear recommendations to senior leadership.
- Create and deliver executive-level presentations, providing actionable insights and explaining the story behind the numbers.
- Build and maintain reporting systems for lenders and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Assess risks and opportunities in financial performance, proactively communicating findings and recommendations.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst:
- Required: Legal background or professional experience that incorporates legal elements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical field.
- Minimum 3+ years of U.S.-based finance experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and project analysis, particularly in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, or similar strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to translate data into actionable insights and present findings to leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership, make strategic recommendations, and contribute to high-level decision-making.
Benefits for the Financial Analyst:
- Competitive salary: $95,000–$125,000
- Hybrid work environment after an initial 60-day training period (3 days in-office per week)
- Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Generous Sick, Vacation, and PTO policies
- Paid holidays
