Join our team as a Convenience Store Category Manager and take charge of driving business growth through strategic planning and execution. You'll have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, set the direction for product selection, negotiate with vendors, and develop innovative marketing strategies.

In this role you will oversee category management for 10+ locations.

Category Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive category sales and gross profit to meet or exceed corporate budget targets.
  • Optimize product assortments, layouts, and pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Lead initiatives for resets and planogramming to enhance category performance.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Communicate merchandising strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective execution.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Coach and develop direct reports to achieve company objectives.

Category Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of category management experience, including 6+ years of negotiating major contracts and building vendor relationships.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and profit growth in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% between corporate and store locations.
