We are seeking an experienced Emergency Management and Business Continuity Manager to lead our organization’s emergency preparedness and business continuity strategies. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of our employees, the resilience of our operations, and our compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in risk management, emergency response, and process improvement while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

Emergency Management and Business Continuity Manager Benefits:

Emergency Management and Business Continuity Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive emergency management and business continuity plans, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Lead strategic planning for emergency response and disaster recovery, ensuring readiness for natural, human-caused, and technology-related incidents.
  • Organize and facilitate training programs and simulation exercises to ensure employees are prepared to execute emergency response roles effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including emergency management agencies, to enhance preparedness and coordinate joint response efforts.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design mitigation strategies for various hazards and threats.
  • Maintain and continuously improve emergency procedures, including pandemic response plans, evacuation protocols, and hazard mitigation strategies.
  • Actively participate in emergency response efforts, providing leadership and ensuring adherence to established procedures during incidents.

Emergency Management and Business Continuity Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications such as CEM preferred).
  • 5–7 years of experience in emergency management, business continuity, or risk management, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of incident command systems, emergency response protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with emergency management software and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and adapt to changing circumstances, including occasional irregular hours and on-call responsibilities.
