The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the country club, ensuring an exceptional dining and beverage experience for members and their guests while maintaining financial efficiency and fostering a positive work environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Food and Beverage Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including dining rooms, bars, and banquet facilities.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional member satisfaction across all outlets.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for food and beverage operations, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and waste, to achieve targeted profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor food and beverage staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage while optimizing labor costs.

Menu and Beverage Program Management

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and beverage team to develop creative, seasonal menus and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure menu and beverage consistency, quality, and adherence to member preferences.
  • Manage wine and spirits programs, including ordering, inventory, and special events.
  • Build relationships with members, addressing feedback and ensuring personalized service.
  • Actively engage with members during dining experiences to enhance satisfaction.
  • Organize and oversee member events, banquets, and special dining experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and liquor laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain operational policies and procedures to meet club standards.

Food and Beverage Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club, resort, or upscale restaurant environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional member and guest service
  • ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
