Manufacturing Engineer summary:
This position supports production operations by collaborating with various departments to assess current operations, implement significant improvements, and apply best practices for optimizing product process flows. Key responsibilities include evaluating equipment, managing machine settings, and installing or upgrading control systems.
- Mon – Fri onsite Day shift position
- Salary $75,000 – $95,000
- Full benefits, vacation, and PTO
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations and maintenance staff to ensure optimal manufacturing process efficiency
- Apply lean manufacturing principles for process improvement, efficiency, and cost control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Lead and manage equipment, product, and process improvement projects
- Develop compliant process designs; review production specs for insights
- Implement defect detection, prevention systems, and Engineering Change Orders
- Conduct testing and trials for prototypes and products
- Analyze and correct equipment issues; use RCPS for problem-solving
- Use lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, FIFO) and statistical methods for data analysis
- Plan and implement new technology and manage capacity planning
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 2–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience in print, packaging, and warehousing
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in FEM, MATLAB, Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite
