Our client in Columbia, SC, is seeking a motivated Coastal Engineer to join their collaborative team of professionals. Your expertise will be key in leading projects like resilience planning, beach nourishment, coastal infrastructure, inlet studies, and more! Coastal Engineer Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Position based in Columbia, SC (with potential for hybrid work)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with coursework in hydraulics, wave mechanics, coastal processes, and structural design
- Master’s degree preferred
- PE registration or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status required
- 5+ years of experience in coastal resilience, stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, or related fields
- Collaborate on engineering designs for shoreline protection, restoration projects, jetties, groins, stormwater solutions, breakwaters, and more
- Engage with clients, contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders on engineering, permitting, and site development matters
- Take on project management duties as needed
- Ensure technical quality and design intent are maintained across all projects
