This is a unique and exciting role for a creative, professional, and driven Sr. Buyer with experience in women's lifestyle, apparel, and accessories. An established and successful E-commerce retailer in Austin is seeking a results-oriented Sr. Buyer to join their growing team. Sr. Buyer Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze fashion trends and lifestyle patterns to design and launch apparel and accessories ready for the market
- Coordinate with internal teams on timelines, planning, retail pricing strategies, merchandise movement and timely product delivery
- Identify and collaborate with vendors, oversee purchasing processes, and ensure products arrive on schedule during periods of high demands
- Partner with sourcing team to grow private label brands, and develop new products
- Sourcing and merchandising products for competitive pricing
Sr. Buyer Requirements:
- 6+ years of buying experience with 3-4 of those ideally being in women's apparel/accessories
- Strong multi-unit buying background
- Experience in fashion/lifestyle product sourcing
- Ability to analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Success in creating a profitable merchandise mix utilizing forecasting, sales figures, inventory management, and assortment planning
- Ability to travel both domestic and international with valid passport
- Detail oriented, and organized with the ability to balance multiple projects, deadlines and requests
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
