An esteemed fine dining restaurant in New York City is seeking a Prep Chef to manage and prepare daily staff meals. This role is crucial for supporting our culinary team by delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that fuel our staff and reflect the same attention to detail and flavor found in our guest offerings.
Prep Chef Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a prep or line cook position, ideally in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and the ability to prepare balanced, flavorful meals.
- Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage daily staff meal prep while maintaining kitchen standards.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Prep Chef Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute daily staff meals, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences as needed.
- Plan weekly staff meal menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and minimizing waste.
- Assist with general prep work as needed for other kitchen stations to support smooth daily operations.
- Maintain proper food storage and safety protocols.
