An acclaimed fine dining establishment in New York City is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join their culinary team. This role requires a strong background in upscale or Michelin-starred environments and a passion for creating innovative, visually stunning, and meticulously crafted desserts. The ideal candidate will bring refined pastry techniques, leadership abilities, and the creativity to drive the restaurant's pastry program to new heights.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive fine dining experience, with a preference for Michelin-starred or high-end venues.
- Proven expertise in pastry and dessert creation, including plated desserts, bread, and mignardises.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to manage and inspire a dedicated pastry team.
- Ability to innovate while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Knowledge of seasonal ingredients and commitment to sustainability in pastry sourcing.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute all aspects of the pastry program, including menu development, costing, and presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor pastry team members to ensure top-tier service and product quality.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other culinary leaders on new menu concepts.
- Maintain inventory, ordering, and cost controls to meet financial goals.
