Social Worker III Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Current North Carolina Social Work licensure (LCSW, LCSWA, or equivalent required).
  • 2+ years of experience in social work, particularly in crisis intervention or emergency services.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced situations.
  • Experience in child welfare, adult services, or other relevant social work fields is highly preferred.

Social Worker III Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to emergency social work cases, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Conducting assessments and providing immediate interventions for clients in crisis.
  • Coordinating with law enforcement, medical staff, and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all case activities.
  • Following local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations while addressing client needs.
  • Providing guidance and referrals for ongoing support services.
