Healthcare Product Owner Core Responsibilities:

Product Ownership

  • Act as a vital connector between business stakeholders and technical teams, transforming complex needs into practical, actionable solutions.
  • Strategically organize and prioritize the product backlog to meet organizational objectives and timelines effectively.

Healthcare Product Owner Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Craft and implement comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to verify system accuracy and functionality.
  • Thoroughly review application outputs, reports, and medical claims data to confirm compliance with established guidelines and expectations.

Healthcare Product Owner Business Analysis

  • Assess and interpret customer business workflows and requirements, translating them into detailed processes, controls, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to collect and document in-depth business and technical specifications for healthcare applications, focusing on CMS-related programs.

Healthcare Product Owner Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Healthcare Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Technical QA Analyst.
  • Robust understanding of electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical claims data, healthcare analytics, and quality assurance standards.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated expertise with CMS programs and reporting standards, such as MIPS and Stars.
  • Professional certifications like CSPO, CBAP, or CSQA are highly desirable.
