Social Worker Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a North Carolina Social Work licensure (LCSW, LCSWA, or CSW preferred).
  • Strong skills in communication and crisis management.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in areas such as child welfare or adult services is highly desirable.

Social Worker Responsibilities:

  • Responding to urgent social work cases during on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Conducting assessments to identify clients’ immediate needs and providing necessary interventions.
  • Coordinating efforts with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners to promote safety and well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate case records in adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Assisting individuals and families with resources and crisis support.
