Our client, a leading architectural and engineering firm in South Dakota, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to design and implement mechanical systems for diverse construction projects.

Mechanical Design Engineer Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing, while conducting load calculations and energy efficiency assessments
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate mechanical solutions into building designs and prepare detailed engineering drawings
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis; passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or ability to do so within 6 months
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical design experience; proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Word, with HVAC load design software experience a plus
