Our client seeks a dynamic Director to lead their tax and bookkeeping departments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the public sector with tax preparation, planning, and compliance, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage large teams in fast-paced environments. Director of Tax Services Benefits and Compensation:

Director of Tax Services Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA Required
- EA or advanced degree preferred
- Public Accounting background with extensive experience in planning for individuals and small businesses
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation, federal and state tax laws, accounting principles, and tax planning strategies
- Oversee all aspects of the company's tax functions, including planning, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on exceptional client service
- Lead and mentor a team of tax and bookkeeping professionals, promoting collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Prior leadership or managerial experience, with a track record of overseeing teams and driving business outcomes
- Proficiency in tax software (Lacerte), ERP systems, and financial tools (Power BI)
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and developments
