Traffic Engineer Responsibilities

  • Research and plan traffic studies
  • Utilize procedures and methodologies published in the ITE Trip Generation Handbook, the Highway Capacity Manual and the MUTCD
  • Analyze data and create simulations to test a variety of materials and/or signals

Traffic Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor in civil engineering
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • Synchro/Simtraffic software, HCS, and Vissim/Visum modeling software experience preferred
