Traffic Engineer Responsibilities
- Research and plan traffic studies
- Utilize procedures and methodologies published in the ITE Trip Generation Handbook, the Highway Capacity Manual and the MUTCD
- Analyze data and create simulations to test a variety of materials and/or signals
Traffic Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor in civil engineering
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Synchro/Simtraffic software, HCS, and Vissim/Visum modeling software experience preferred
