We are looking for a Director of Custodial Services for Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Director of Custodial Services Requirements:

  • · Eight to ten years of experience in personnel management.
  • · Solid background and experience in the field of custodial services managing more than 140 union employees and 6 direct reporting supervisors (exempt).
  • Experience in managing multiple levels of facilities, services, products, and systems.
  • · Experience in a college or university environment is strongly preferred.
  • · Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of experience and education

Director of Custodial Services Qualifications:

  • · Excellent supervisory and interpersonal communications skills.
  • · Ability to relate well to a diverse group of constituents and to build strong relationships within and among those groups.
  • · Flexible and diplomatic management style that empowers staff, sets high expectations, and holds department colleagues accountable.
  • · Ability to manage custodial services, working with state and federal laws and regulations, and facilities compliance requirements.
  • · Strong service orientation and a demonstrated desire to continually improve the services and operations of an organization.
  • · Proven excellence in custodial programs involving large industrial or educational complexes; keeps abreast of changing trends in cleaning operations.
  • · Computer literacy and familiarity with standard business-related software. Facility maintenance software experience preferred.
  • · Driver’s license required
