Our client is seeking a Professional City Engineer to join their team and oversee and manage City engineering capital improvement projects including water/sewer, transportation, drainage and other infrastructure. This is an opportunity to join a city on a growth path with major capital improvement projects throughout the regional area.

 

Professional City Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all facets of construction and maintenance of streets, parks, water/wastewater, utilities, and all capital improvement projects
  • Work with developers, contractors, surveyors, inspectors to coordinate project development including managing the bid process, preparing budget reports, technical specifications and plans, research, compliance and inter-municipal agreements.
  • Responds to inquiries from the public, resolve problems and represent the City at public meetings as required.
  • Support the direct manager in preparation of the annual and 5-year budget.

Professional City Engineer Qualifications:

  • BS Civil Engineering or related degree required
  • PE license (ability to obtain North Carolina PE Registration within first year)
  • 5 + years varied civil engineering experience; water/wastewater/irrigation preferred
