We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Junior Sushi Chef, you will assist in preparing sushi dishes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their sushi-making skills and grow within a dynamic kitchen team.
Junior Sushi Chef Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of sushi dishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area
- Help monitor and manage inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to support smooth food service operations
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Learn and incorporate new techniques from senior chefs and industry trends
Junior Sushi Chef Qualifications:
- Some experience in sushi preparation or culinary experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of sushi ingredients and preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Culinary school training or sushi-related certification is a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Japanese language proficiency is a plus, but not required
