An established and rapidly growing SEC-registered investment advisory firm with $22B+ AUM is seeking a junior-level INVESTMENT TRADER to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in Asset Management or Financial Services industry experience.

 

The ideal INVESTMENT TRADER Investment Trader will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment..

Investment Trader Responsibilities:

  • Execute and assist in placing orders across a variety of financial instruments. i.e. Fixed income, derivatives, equities, and exchange-traded options.
  • Support the Trader in managing general and administrative tasks relevant to the department.
  • Monitor compliance, ensuring that operational risk management processes align with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Private Client Services to review and reconcile reports, ensuring accurate trade execution and booking.
  • Act as a liaison between the internal trading desk and supporting functions such as Investment Operations, Risk and Compliance, and Technology to address any issues.

Investment Trader Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the Asset Management or Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong project management skills to assist the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Trading.
  • Series 63 or Series 65 certification required
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver market updates and present to senior members of the Investment Management team.
  • Experience in equity middle office and operations is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel (VBA, Pivot Tables, etc.), Python, or other coding languages is a plus.
