Controller Job Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience as a Controller in a multi-unit setting, managing $150M in annual revenue and overseeing 15 or more locations.
  • Have 5 years of senior-level accounting and finance experience as a Controller.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles, along with experience in IFRS and SOX compliance, is essential.
  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), cost accounting, payroll, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Oversee the processing of at least 5,000 invoices monthly for A/R and A/P.
  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report on any variances. Ensure the timely preparation and publication of monthly financial statements.
