We are seeking an inspired Luxury Pastry Sous Chef for our Michelin-starred venue!

Pastry Sous Chef – Luxury Qualifications / Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience working as a pastry chef, preferably Michelin Star or Forbes 5-star level.
  • Knowledge of pastry arts and ingredients.
  • Assist in ordering, food costing, writing new recipes, and creating desserts.
  • Manage the organization of all pastry items for events and special VIP guest amenities.
  • Assist in the daily management of the entire pastry staff, upholding all quality control measures, including strictly adhering to recipes and standards for product preparation and plating.
  • Oversee production for service of cakes, pastries, sauces, ice creams, sorbets, and breads.
  • Ensure all plated dishes meet standards.
  • Strong coaching, developing and leadership skills.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards.
  • React quickly and effectively to unplanned operational needs, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and prioritize workload in a demanding environment.
