Sommelier Responsibilites:

*The Sommelier operates the beverage program in all facets including but not limited to the following:

  • Cellar, EuroCave and the wine fridge maintenance; organization, stocking, cleanliness.
  • Be an authority on the wines used in the restaurant for the uses of wine pairings, by the glass, and those represented as bottle selections on the restaurant’s wine list.
  • Assist Wine Director in order to provide education for the FOH staff on the full range of beverages for the restaurant, including but not limited to wine, cocktails, beer, tea, and coffee.
  • Collaborate with the Wine Director on the selections of the wines used in the restaurant for the uses of wine pairings, by the glass, and those represented as bottle selections on the restaurant’s wine list.

Sommelier Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience as a sommelier in Michelin-starred fine dining.
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge with a strong foundation in the wines and cuisine of France.
  • Strong understanding of POS and inventory systems.
  • Leadership and integrity.
  • Desire and ability to teach and foster growth.
  • RBS certification preferred.
