Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine and management to ensure the kitchen operates seamlessly
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of culinary professionals, fostering their growth and development
- Assist in the creation and regular updates of menus that align with culinary trends, customer preferences, dietary requirements, and seasonal ingredients
- Supervise food preparation, presentation, and quality to maintain the highest culinary standards
- Support the implementation and enforcement of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Contribute to inventory management, cost control, and vendor relationships
- Help cultivate a culture of innovation, teamwork, and culinary excellence within the kitchen
Executive Sous Chef Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar executive sous chef or senior Sous Chef role
- Proven ability to collaborate with and support the Executive Chef in managing a large culinary team
- Strong background in upscale fine dining establishments
- A creative mindset with a passion for staying current with culinary trends
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Experience in menu development and adaptation
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
