We are looking for an enthusiastic, quality-driven Sous Chef to open our new Italian trattoria in Washington, DC (one block from the White House!). You will lead a phenomenal team in an upscale, high volume restaurant with an emphasis on outstanding food and service in a sophisticated, yet comfortable environment. Be part of the opening everyone in the city will be talking about!

Sous Chef Qualifications + Responsibilities:

3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high volume, upscale, scratch kitchen environment
Expertise with Italian cuisine is required
Commitment to providing exceptional guest service, and creating memorable experiences for all patrons
Expertise in coaching, training, and leading teams
Highly skilled and comfortable utilizing technology platforms such as POS, inventory management software, scheduling/employee communication platforms
Responsible for effective cost management of food and labor
Schedule includes working nights, weekends, and holidays
Hands-on management style, comfortable (and happy!) working shoulder to shoulder with their team
