Kitchen Manager Perks

Kitchen Manager Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef in a Chinese cuisine-focused restaurant with strong knowledge of dumpling preparation and Chinese culinary techniques
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification
  • Previous financial oversight experience: P&L management, ordering and inventory, scheduling and labor cost controls, waste management controls, portion controls, recipe adherence
  • New restaurant opening experience is a BIG PLUS

Kitchen Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen team including hiring, training, scheduling, and working side-by-side in the kitchen
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Ensure all dishes meet high standards – focus on quality
  • Oversee ordering and inventory, storage (FIFO), production, and freshness of product to ensure cost-effective purchasing and minimal waste
