We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant who is committed to supporting the growth and success of our team members within our restaurant group. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our HR processes run smoothly, with a focus on maintaining accurate records, assisting in recruitment and onboarding, and addressing any issues that arise. You’ll be empowered to use your organizational skills and attention to detail to create an efficient and supportive work environment, where your input in improving office practices and procedures is valued. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about meeting the needs of both candidates and employees, helping to create a positive and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update filing systems for employee records and training files.
- Assist with HR administration tasks, including onboarding, background checks, compliance, recruiting, and orientation.
- Screen calls, take messages, and respond to routine and non-routine questions.
- Draft written responses or replies by phone or email as needed.
- Handle confidential and non-routine information with professionalism and discretion.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, ensuring all interactions reflect dignity and respect.
- Regularly check email and other electronic communications, responding within 48 hours or immediately in urgent situations.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
- Ability to quickly learn payroll management software, HRIS, and similar applications.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Prior office experience in a related field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
