We are an internationally acclaimed restaurant group known for our upscale and fine dining establishments. As we launch our newest Italian concept in New York City, we are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to lead our dessert program. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase your skills in creating exquisite Italian-inspired pastries and desserts in a high-end setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and curate an innovative dessert menu that complements our Italian culinary offerings. Incorporate seasonal ingredients and modern techniques while honoring traditional Italian flavors
• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled pastry team. Oversee training, performance, and growth to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and creativity
• Monitor and manage ingredient costs, inventory, and labor to ensure the profitability of the pastry department. Work closely with the executive chef and management to meet financial goals
• Maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation in all pastry offerings. Ensure that every dessert leaving the kitchen meets our upscale dining standards
• Stay ahead of trends and continuously innovate by introducing new desserts, special offerings, and seasonal treats that keep our menu fresh and exciting

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef in upscale or fine dining establishments, with a focus on Italian cuisine preferred.
• Deep knowledge of pastry techniques and Italian dessert traditions, with a flair for creating visually stunning and delectable pastries.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong understanding of cost management, inventory control, and budgeting within a pastry kitchen.
• A creative mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt based on seasonal ingredients and evolving culinary trends
