Civil Structural Engineer Qualifications:

Professional Civil Structural Engineer III (PE) with 5–8 years of experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Delaware PE license is required (MD is a bonus).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in designing with steel, concrete, and wood.
Advanced computer skills, including structural analysis and design software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Proficient in AutoCAD® and Revit®.

Civil Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

Site visits between Dover, Delaware, and Annapolis, MD.
Design and analyze structural systems for assigned projects.
Serve as Project Manager when assigned.
Coordinate structural system designs with architects (clients) and other engineering disciplines.
Assist the Project Manager in design, analysis, detailing, and supervising project staff.
Conduct or assist in field investigations.
Review contractors' submittals for compliance with contract documents.
Prepare design sketches for final documentation.
Assist in CAD/Revit® drafting of plans and details.
Write project specifications.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with associates, clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
