We are seeking an Executive Chef with exceptional creativity, craftsmanship, and a genuine passion for surpassing guest expectations. SILVA is a 50,000-square-foot building in the heart of the Monroe North Business District in downtown Grand Rapids. A dinner-tainment concept featuring a Bar & Restaurant, indoor Bocce courts, and a large (16,000 square foot!) event space. SILVA has something for everyone!!

Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Creating a positive, fun, and professional environment
- Creating innovative and high-quality recipes and dishes that align with our culinary vision
- Supervising and leading all members of the kitchen team at every level
- Maintaining food quality, safety, and sanitation standards; adhering to all local health and safety regulations
- Developing and updating menus as needed based on trends, seasonality, customer preferences, and dietary requirements, while ensuring consistency and proper cooking techniques
- Working together with suppliers and vendors to guarantee the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences
- Managing kitchen budgets, BOH financials, labor costs, and controlling food costs while maintaining excellent quality
Executive Chef Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Kitchen Management / Executive Chef in an upscale environment, with new restaurant openings being a plus
- Able to develop authentic and quality-driven recipes using fresh ingredients
- Experience using kitchen/restaurant software and purchasing/management systems
- Able to effectively manage costs and possess a strong understanding of inventory controls and financials
- Strong organizational skills, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Team player with the ability to collaborate at all levels
