Our client is seeking a City Engineer/Civil Engineer to join their leadership team and oversee and manage City engineering projects including infrastructure, utilities, transportation, construction management and street development, transportation, and other public work projects. This is an opportunity to join a city on a growth path and make a difference.
City Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage all facets of construction of streets, parks, utilities, and all capital improvement projects
- Prepare and oversee engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of capital improvement projects. Sign, stamp and/or approve public work improvements.
- Work with developers, contractors, engineers to coordinate project development and coordinate with Community Development, Parks, and Streets departments
- Assist the Mayor with the master plans, major projects financing plan, and capital improvement program
- Oversee the department budget
- Participate in the Sanitary District leadership
City Engineer Qualifications:
- BS Civil Engineering or related degree required
- PE license preferred; Will support those with PE intentions
- 3 + years varied civil engineering experience with some supervisory experience
- Requires relocation to Muncie Indiana
