Our client is a manufacturer of customized switchgear founded over 80 years ago. They are primed for aggressive expansion into new and existing markets. We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager to oversee production activities related to low and medium voltage electrical systems. This role will ensure that processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on position leading the efforts to implement changes and overhauls of their manufacturing facility. 

Customized Manufacturing Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary responsibility for manufacturing production operations to ensure all quality, productivity, safety, and delivery targets are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Supervise staff and oversee production activities related to electrical systems coordinaing dialy operations
  • Ensure safety compliance and strict adherence to quality monitoring
  • Lead and motivate staff, provide training and support to ensure optimal productivity
  • Manage resources effectively to meet production deadlines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Continuously evaluate workflows needing improvement and implement changes for efficiencies.

Customized Manufacturing Production Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical Engineering or related field
  • Prior experience in supervisory role within electrical industry
  • Knowledge of low-voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with customized manufacturing of engineered products
  • Lean experience and desire to coach a team for successful implementations
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures applicable to electrical manufacturing environments
  • Experience with Union environment a plus
  • Electrical distribution experience a plus
