We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grocery Store Director to lead our team and drive the success of our store. The Grocery Store Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, staff development, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize product availability and minimize waste.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team of department managers and staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, such as sales trends, gross margins, and expenses, and take appropriate actions to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source quality products and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, and recommend strategies to maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in retail grocery management required
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the grocery retail industry.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
