Executive Kitchen Manager Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and manage all kitchen operations, including, but not limited to food preparation, ordering/receiving, and menu presentation, insuring the highest level of quality and consistency
  • Building and maintaining the team – interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching team members, with a specific focus on cross-training and internal development
  • Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation in accordance with NYC DOH guidelines and restaurant policy
  • Effectively manage food and labor costs through inventory management, sales analysis, vendor negotiations, and efficient scheduling
  • Create and build relationships with vendors

Executive Kitchen Manager Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Kitchen Manager
  • Extensive experience with Thai and/or Vietnamese cuisine, including knowledge of traditional dishes, techniques, and ingredients
  • Strong business acumen, with a proven track record of effectively managing controllable expenses (labor, food cost, etc)
  • Ability to manage teams effectively, with a specific focus on recipe execution and standardization of menu preparation
  • Proficiency in hospitality technology platforms (scheduling and inventory software, POS, etc)
