Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Post journal entries to QuickBooks
  • Receive and post vendor invoices
  • Perform bank reconciliations and end-of-month closings
  • Generate on-demand reports in QuickBooks
  • Report state sales tax

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of tax rules and regulations, including payroll and sales tax laws
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software; Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience with financial reporting and profit and loss forms
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages
  • 2-year post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of handling confidential information with discretion
