Our client is a national food brand, and they are looking for a Manufacturing EHS Specialist. This position is key in promoting and developing an innovative and proactive safety culture within each organization. This role is responsible to support the coordination and leadership of environmental programs and policies by the local site EHS Manager. Specialized technical knowledge and skill in the environmental and compliance is offered by the incumbent. The primary objective of the role is to ensure compliance and enhance the environmental aspects of Site operations. 

 

Manufacturing EHS Specialist Benefits:

 

  • Base salary of $78 – 88k
  • 2nd shift – 2pm – 10 pm

Manufacturing EHS Specialist Responsibilities:

 

  • Implement programs to ensure that environmental strategies, policies and obligations are met.
  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant company policies, environmental rules and regulations and impact to site including ISO 14001, Fed Federal and State environmental requirements and FAA/DOT hazardous material requirements, and storm water pollution prevention, spill prevention and countermeasures control
  • Promotes behaviors base safety program and environmental compliance including wastewater, state, federal compliance
  • Complete MDEQ and EPA environmental reports
  • Complete all reports and submit proper agencies including air, waste, wastewater and hazmat
  • Ensure required environmental training materials are complete, accurate and up to date. 
  • Support compliance to ensure continued ISO 14001 certification
  • Support site in all facility and regulatory audits
  • Review investigation of injuries, near misses, and property damage

Manufacturing EHS Specialist Requirements:

 

  • 2+ years EHS experience in food production or other GMP facility
