Engineer In Training – Structural Engineering

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for innovative design. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and grow within a dynamic team.

Engineer In Training Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design structural elements and systems for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry buildings in accordance with applicable building codes and design standards.
  • Prepare and review detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Manage construction administration activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Engineer In Training Qualifications:

  • Ability to draw, sketch, and detail to convey design intent effectively.
  • Proven ability to take independent responsibility for portions of a project.
  • Proficiency in computer analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RAM, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

Engineer In Training Education and Other Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in the structural design of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood frame structures preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or a related field required.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Engineer In Training Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.
