A leading fundraising organization seeks a Development Executive to cultivate and growth the donor base focused on the Long Island community. Working with the Northeast team, this role will be responsible for raising funds using face to face solicitations, parlor meetings and major events centered around Long Island. You'll focus on four and five figure level gifts and must have an established network within Long Island.

Fundraising Development Executive, Long Island Responsibilities:

  • strategize to build and solifiy relationships with new and established donors
  • Manage a portfolio of 150+ major donors and prospects
  • Build a pipeline of new donors
  • Community outreach to schools, synagogues and other organizations to find creative ways to partner with them
  • Help develop and plan fundraising events and programs
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships, increase engagement and funding

Fundraising Development Executive, Long Island, NY Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in direct community fundraising
  • Ties to the Long Island Jewish community and schools
  • Strong knowledge and proven success with donor cultivation, donor services and solicitation and closing of gifts
  • Exceptional writing, verbal, and editing skills
  • Knowledge and Connection to New York Jewish Philanthropic Networks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective major gifts fundraising, individual and family stewardship, and solicitation strategies
  • Deep understanding of campaign analytics and experience using insights derived from data to enhance strategies
  • Innovative, hands-on and goal-oriented professional who can hit the ground running
  • Knowledge and Passion for Israel a plus.
