Qualifications and Skills for Heavy-Duty Truck Technicians:

  • Essential: 5+ years of experience repairing tractors and diesel trucks, encompassing tasks such as engine overhauls, alignments, and transmission repairs
  • Crucial: Proficiency in conducting thorough inspections of critical components like brakes, steering systems, and wheel bearings to uphold safety and efficiency standards
  • Desirable: Extensive knowledge of Freightliner/Detroit Engines, chassis, drive lines, hubs, wheel seals, and air conditioning systems
