We are looking for a passionate manufacturing leader for a who can lead multiple sites through a successful change of manufacturing strategy. This individual will build a high performing leadership team with a strong capability to deliver operational excellence. The role requires a balance of leading the site through change and delivering operational excellence. Employee motivation and happiness play a key part in this role, and the maintenance of a healthy employment relations climate is seen as critical. 

A candidate must have been in a position of managing within the last 2 years at least 2 medical device manufacturing facilities simultaneously that have a product volume over $100 million. They should have led hundreds of people and had multiple people leader direct reports. They will also have deep experience with managing a regulated machine tool operation and will have demonstrated success with implementing lean manufacturing.

  

Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations Benefits:

Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations Requirements:

  •  A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Ten years of experience at a senior management level with P&L experience
  • Proven experience overseeing multi-plant regulated CNC machining operations within a respected multinational company; medical devices are highly preferred
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, quality systems and HSE regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, team player and customer focused  
  • Broad based business understanding and can work with autonomy 

Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations Responsibilities:

  •  Facilitate the implementation of the companies’ manufacturing strategy, which includes three manufacturing plants
  • Development of and personally championing a culture of continuous improvement
  • Development and execution of long range plans that ensures the sites are ‘fit for the future’
  • Ensuring appropriate Quality and HSE Policies and Systems are in place 
  • Ensuring that the site facilities are handled within budget and maintained to the appropriate standard
  • Ensuring appropriate manufacturing capacity is able to cost effectively meet current and projected demand
  • Ensuring that customer service levels are maintained to agreed levels
  • Develop the skills base of the site to enable further opportunities for optimization
