An East Coast-based Hotel management group seeks an experienced Hotel General Manager with Full-service Brand Hotel experience to lead its team and deliver exceptional Guest service. General Manager Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and implements business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with brand standards and the owners’ overall mission, vision, values, and strategies
  • Ensures alignment of the hotel’s operations with owner and brand set objectives by serving as a liaison for owner relations in conjunction with corporate
  • Develops the annual budget and capital budget 
  • Achieves the hotel’s profit, customer service, and revenue goals by directing the operation of the hotel 
  • Maximizes revenue by developing and implementing a sales & marketing plan 
  • Works with the Director of Operations to continually improve hotel operations by evaluating guest services provided and responding to opportunities within the market
  • Analyzes business results on a regular basis and takes actions to improve results as appropriate 
  • Ensures that the hotel adheres to brand standards of operations
  • Represents the management company in owner relations and maintains good working relations and dialog with the hotel owners
  • Provides genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis 
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and works to resolve 
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality 

General Manager Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of General Manager experience
  • Ability to think critically to develop strategies for success
  • Thrive in an ever-changing & fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record in delivering financial results
  • Need to be able to analyze a P&L to ensure cost controls
  • Ability to analyze Guest Service reports and recognize market trends
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven track record of positive associate satisfaction scores
